Senators of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), the Labor Party (PT) and the National Action Party (PAN) requested to open spaces at the Mexican Radio Institute (Imer) and the Congress Channel to Carmen Aristegui after she was fired from MVS.
The proposals were supported by PRD senators Alejandro Encinas, Mario Delgado and Alejandra Barrales, while Javier Corral (PAN) headed the group of eleven legislators from the PAN, PRD and PT that requested to open the Congress Channel to the journalist, with the approval to join MéxicoLeaks, a recently launched digital platform to receive information leaks that could lead to corruption investigations.
