Mexican auto production rises 16% in March

Mexican auto production rose 16.3% in March compared to the same month in 2013, while exports climbed 12.9%, said the Mexican Auto Industry Association (AMIA).
In March, Mexico produced 277,314 cars and exported 230,772 units, while sales in the local market reached 85,682 units, 3.5% more than in the same period in 2013.
Mexico exports most of the cars it produces to the United States, its main trade partner under the North America Free Trade Agreement. Last year, Mexico's auto production and exports reached record levels for the fourth consecutive year.
