Another accomplice of Azano pleads guilty

Marc Alan Chase admitted that the Mexican businessman asked him to recruit donators for 2012 San Diego mayoral candidate.

Another accomplice of Mexican businessman Jose Susumo Azano pleaded guilty of contributing to illegal campaign financing in the southern district of California.

Marc Alan Chase admitted that even though Azano was a foreigner, he made contributions to a U.S. candidate.

Chase, owner of a car store in La Jolla, admitted he conspired with Jose Susumo Azano, Ravneet Singh, Ernesto Encinas and Marco Polo Cortes to make several illegal campaign donations during 2012 elections.

He added that Azno asked him to recruit friends and family members to make donations to San Diego mayoral candidate.  

Susumo could be sentenced to up to eight years in prison and fined 800,000 dollars.
