Mexican golfer Roberto Díaz won gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz.

Díaz ended with a -17 score, surpassing José de Jesús Rodríguez "El Camarón" (-14), also from Mexico, and José Enrique Méndez (-9), from Costa Rica.

Alejandra Llaneza from Mexico won silver in women's golf after beating Paola Moreno from Colombia. María José Uribe, also from Colombia, won gold.

 The competition took place at Punta Tiburón golf club.
