UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ra'ad Zeid Al Hussein, today accepted an invitation by Mexico to visit this country.

According to a statement issued by the UN offices in Mexico, the Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations, Jorge Lomónaco, delivered the invitation during a meeting held today in Geneva.

"The High Commissioner thanked Ambassador Lomónaco for the invitation. The date will be set shorty in Geneva and Mexico," reads the statement.
