Authorities rescue 77 migrants in Oaxaca and Veracruz

The National Migration Institute (INM) rescued
77 migrants in Oaxaca and Veracruz, who were traveling to the United States and
were transported in inhumane conditions by suspected human traffickers.
In a statement, the INM reported that migration
agents rescued 54 migrants in Oaxaca who were traveling in a truck guarded by
suspected human traffickers.
During a migration checkpoint on
Tehuantepec-Oaxaca highway, federal agents noticed the foreigners who were
traveling in overcrowded conditions.
Similarly, during a migration checkpoint in the
community La Mancha, Veracruz, members of the federal delegation rescued 23
migrants from Guatemala and El Salvador, 21 men and two women, including two
unaccompanied minors.
