The Leon Team took on a packed Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro and defeated the Brazilian Flamengo 3-2 and qualified to the second round of the Copa Libertadores Tournament.

With goals from the Colombian Franco Arizala and the Argentinean Mauro Boselli, Leon took the lead, which Alecsandro and Andre Santos from Flamengo responsed, but Carlos Pena had the last word and scored at minute 85.

The Mexican team totaled ten points and its next match will be against Bolivar, leader of Group Seven which today won againist Ecuador's Emelec 2-1.
